2. Ways to reinforce positive behaviors; while extinguishing the negative behaviors.

3. The benefits of utilzing a behavior chart.

4. Reinforcment options.

5. What actions of the child to attend to and what actions do you ignore.

6. Setting up a success plan.

7. Have a goal.

8. action strategies to achieve the desired goal.

9. individualize ways to implement strategies. What ideas may work with one child may or may not work with a different child.

10. emphasis the positive.

11. have positive, calm, energy with the child.

12. children are children and not little adults

13. children conceptualize thoughts differantly than we do.

14. the use of effective 1, 2, 3, as a format before the use of a time out; then the adult is at an unemotional stance. Children respond negeatively to a negative tone of voice. They will respond anger with anger. Children will respond posively with a positive tone of voice, with the use of respect, and caring.
